Luke George’s “erotics of art” at Hiroshima

Erotic Dance is a duet between dancer Luke George and sound artist, Nick Roux. It summons an experience of art that is sensual and visceral, intimate and mesmerising. In Susan Sontag’s 1961 essay Against Interpretation, she writes “we need an erotics of art”. George flirts with Sontag’s phrase, discovering an erotics of form, and a form of eroticism. The artist, raised in Tasmania, is an international representant of the new Australian scene. A brand new discovery!
